ABOUT BURCOT COURT

LIVING AT BURCOT COURT

MOVING TO BURCOT COURT

CONTACT US

November arrives quietly at Burcot Court — misty mornings, golden leaves, and that cosy feeling of home. It’s the month for warm drinks, relaxed conversations, and enjoying the calm before the sparkle of December begins.

While we prepare for the busy festive season ahead, there’s still plenty happening throughout November to bring us together and celebrate community life at the Court.

A Big Thank You for October’s Charity Success

We begin this month with heartfelt gratitude. Our Charity Coffee Morning and Dan’s sponsored haircut in October were a huge success — together we raised just over £1,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Dan also donated his hair to the Little Princess Trust, helping to create wigs for children experiencing hair loss through illness.

It was a day filled with laughter, generosity, and care — a true reflection of what makes Burcot Court so special. Thank you to everyone who donated, baked, joined in, and supported these causes.

(And yes — Dan has confirmed that he’s definitely feeling the chill now the ponytail’s gone!)

Community News & Updates

A Warm Welcome

We’re delighted to welcome Mr Bennett and Mrs Revell to the Board of Directors, and extend our thanks to Mrs Farrow and Mrs Madelin for their time and service. Your dedication helps keep Burcot Court such a wonderful place to live.

New Faces

A big welcome, too, to Tasha, our new Duty Manager. Her calm, caring approach has already made a lovely impression, and we’re so pleased to have her join the team.

November Highlights

Though November is a little quieter while we prepare for December’s festivities, there’s still plenty to enjoy:

Games Nights, Breakfast at Burcot, Film Premieres, Classical Music Morning, Morning Coffees, Scrabble Evenings, and Move It or Lose It! continue as always

Please remember to book at the Office for all events marked with an asterisk (*).

Staying Safe and Cosy as the Weather Turns

With shorter days and chillier weather, now’s the time to keep warm, stay steady, and take extra care. Layer up, use throws and blankets, and wear shoes with good grip on wet mornings. Remember — comfort isn’t indulgence, it’s good sense!

If you’re feeling under the weather, let someone know. Burcot Court is a community that looks out for one another — and that’s what makes it home.

Looking Ahead: Christmas at Burcot Court

December is shaping up to be a busy and joyful month!
This year we’ll be releasing two special festive editions of the Court Companion:

  1. “Christmas at Burcot Court – What’s On Guide” (mid-November), featuring all the December social events and menus, including Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

  2. The full December Court Companion, published at the end of the month.

And of course, don’t forget to save the date for our Annual Christmas Meal on Tuesday 9th December — always a highlight of the year!

A Community of Kindness

Burcot Court thrives because of the warmth and respect we show one another. Thank you to all the Owners who make this such a caring, welcoming place — whether by sharing a kind word, helping a neighbour, or joining a social event with a smile.

As we move through November, let’s enjoy the calm, the company, and the comfort of community — ready to welcome the sparkle of December together.
