Our Christmas Meal this year was far more than a festive dinner — it was the result of a full team effort that came together to create a truly memorable evening for everyone who attended.
The night began in the dining room, which had been beautifully decorated for Christmas, creating a warm and welcoming setting for an exceptional meal. The food was thoroughly enjoyed by all, and the atmosphere was relaxed, celebratory, and full of festive spirit.
Following the meal, owners were invited into the lounge, which had been completely transformed into a bespoke performance space. What awaited them was a unique and moving piece of Christmas entertainment.
The Real Gifts of Christmas
Owners were treated to The Real Gifts of Christmas — a completely original production written, composed, and produced by a member of our own staff. This included the story, music, lyrics, and the full staging and technical production, all created specifically for Burcot Court.
Using large present structures, projection screens, atmospheric lighting, and carefully composed music, the performance took owners on a thought-provoking journey exploring the true meaning of Christmas and the gifts that cannot be wrapped — love, time, kindness, forgiveness, and hope.
Much of the technical setup, including a 3-metre illuminated star, had been discreetly erected while owners were enjoying their meal, ensuring the reveal remained a complete surprise.
A Spectacular Finale
The finale was truly breathtaking. As the story reached its conclusion, the entire courtyard lit up, snow gently fell from the balconies, and the illuminated star came to life, creating a moment of genuine wonder and reflection that filled the whole space.
It was an emotional and unforgettable ending — one that perfectly captured the spirit of the evening.
A Magical Burcot Court at Christmas
The experience was further enhanced by the Christmas decorations throughout the court and courtyard, which have received countless compliments from owners, visitors, and relatives. Many have commented that Burcot Court feels truly magical at Christmas, and this evening was a perfect reflection of that sentiment.
